Lakeland College is over hundred years old educational institution which makes it the benchmark of higher education in Canada. Lakeland College is an SPP recognized post-secondary college in Alberta. It is publicly funded, and maintains two campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster city. Lakeland serves over 7000 students through the academic year with 2,223 students studying full-time and part-time.

Because Lloydminster campus is in Lloydminster City, which is the only bi-provincial city in Canada as the city of Lloydminster stretches on both sides of the Alberta - Saskatchewan provincial border. Lakeland College is Canada's only inter-provincial college, as it serves both Alberta and Saskatchewan residents, following a partnership agreement between the governments of the two provinces in 1975.

Ø       Permanent Residence Opportunities
After students graduate with a one-year certificate or two-year diploma, they have the possibility to pursue the transition to permanent residency in either of the two provinces i.e in Alberta or Saskatchewan.

Ø       Immediate Student Work Opportunities
Alberta and Saskatchewan have very strong employment economies. International Students at Lakeland can work off campus immediately upon arrival up to 20 hours per week during the semester and full time during vacation periods if they are studying at Lakeland certificate or diploma program.

•       Minimum hourly wage rate in Saskatchewan is $10.50 for international students

Ø       Post-graduate Work Opportunities
After graduation from Lakeland, students can work in Canada from 1 to 3 years depending upon their academic credential which will greatly help them enrich their international work experience.
